City of Dearborn Beautification Commission, Official Michigan Green School, Henry Ford Village Scholarships, National Elementary Honor Society, National Jr.'s Honor Society, Endangered Species Adoption and People to People Leadership.
Special Guests & Dignitaries Visiting the Academy Lights on After School Programs event was supported by the attendance of someone from the office of Senator Carl Levin, who presented a letter from the Senator. Judge Bill Hultgren from Detroit 36th District Court spoke to the kindergarten classes during Career Week.
Chief Jeff Oldenberg, Fire Chief of City of Dearborn spoke to the kindergarten and first graders for Safety Week. Officer Townsend, K-9 unit from City of Dearborn Police visited the Academy to address stranger danger.
Other Awards & Recognitions Red Ribbon Week, Giving Tree ($900.00 raised for needy families), Two Red Cross Blood Drives, Health Fair, Male mentoring program, Heigra Social Skills Group, Wildcat Tribune(student led newspaper), Lights On After school Program, WI-FI Building,
People to People Leadership, St. Joseph Mercy Senior Center 5th Grade visit, Earth Night, High School Night, International Night, Family Math and Reading Nights, Kindergarten Experience, High Achievers Field trip to Cedar Point. The Academy fifth graders wrote the President of the United States of America regarding what their thoughts were on the budget reductions in Michigan schools. President Barack Obama did write the students back thanking them for their input and he would take their suggestions under advisement.
